ABOUT

The 12Ks of Christmas is a 12KM trail run for all abilities around the stunning local woods of Dursley, Gloucestershire.

Ho, ho, ho! 🎅🏃‍♀️

Lace up those candy cane-striped trainers, for the 12KM Christmas Fun Run is about to weave its festive magic. Our journey begins at the quaint Leaf & Ground, where frost-kissed breaths mingle with anticipation. The air hums with carols, and runners—some in elf hats, others with tinsel-trimmed shoes—gather at the starting line.

The route unfolds like a gift, after leaving Leaf & Ground, you will enter the woods to follow the trails around Stinchcombe Golf course before heading up onto the golf course itself. After a few more hills and trails you will arrive at the halfway point (6km), where a checkpoint packed with mince pies, mulled cider and lots of festive joy will greet you with open arms. Once you have refuelled it's time to head off to the finish at the Dursley Rugby Club where a  Christmas finish line to remember will await you!

But this isn’t just a race; it’s a Christmas spectacle. Elves sprint alongside gingerbread men, and snowmen attempt cartwheels (with varying degrees of success). The best part? Fancy dress is encouraged! So, whether you’re a nutcracker ballerina or a candy cane superhero, flaunt your festive flair as you might just claim the prize for best dressed? A trophy, coveted by all.

So, my fellow runners, let’s sprint like reindeer, fuelled by mince pies and mulled cider. May the frosty air echo with laughter, and may our memories be wrapped in tinsel.

As with all Gert Lush Events and especially as it's the season of good will to all, we will be supporting our charity Bigmoose, you can raise money for them if you wish by signing up when registering for a place. We will also be supporting Jogon and the GL11 Foodbank with our mandatory entry items.
